Key result
Remarks on result:
no self ignition observed under the test conditions
Conclusions:
According to the guideline VDI 2263, sheet 1 (Grewer-Oven) no self-ignition temperature was observed up to 350 °C (oven temperature).
Executive summary:

According to the guideline VDI 2263, sheet 1 (Grewer-Oven) no self-ignition temperature was observed up to 350 °C (oven temperature).

Due to these results, the test item does not have to be classified as a “self-heating substance”, class 4.2 of the Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods / Manual of Tests and Criteria and according to chapter 2.11 of the GHS (CLP) regulations(UN Globally harmonized system of classification and labelling of chemicals (GHS), 4threvised edition, 2011 (UN GHS) and also chapter 2.11 in the CLP regulation1272/2008 (EU GHS)).

Description of key information

According to the guideline VDI 2263, sheet 1 (Grewer-Oven) no self-ignition temperature was observed up to 350 °C (oven temperature).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The purpose of this study was the determination of the relative self-ignition temperature of the test item according to: Guideline VDI 2263, sheet 1 (Grewer-oven). In this study, no self-ignition temperature was observed up to 350 °C (oven temperature).
