The key value of log Pow = 2.27 is obtained from the experiment according to OECD 107 (shake flask method). This method, like any other method described in the guidelines, is not fully suitable for surfactans. Nevertheless there are also supporting QSAR data available for log Pow: 2.40 (1 D-glucopyranose unit), -0.09 (2 D-glucopyranose units) and -2.58 (3 D-glucopyranose units). Taking into account the fact that the contribution of undecyl mono-glucopyranoside is predominant and the calculated value is very similar to the experimental value, the experimental value of 2.27 is accepted as the key value for risk assessment.
