Results and discussion

Boiling point
Boiling pt.:
> 250 °C
Remarks on result:
other: The exact pressure was not provided in the study report, but the study report stated that the pressure was atmospheric pressure.

Any other information on results incl. tables

At the starting temperature, 513 K (240 deg C), the test substance melted and changed from a yellow jelly-like solid into yellow liquid. With increasing temperature, the amount of bubbles coming out of the immersed end of the boiling capillary increased. However, when the temperature stabilized, the amount of bubbles stabilized too. A rapid and regular string of bubbles (what should be observed when the boiling point is reached) was not observed.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
It was concluded that the test substance has a boiling point/boiling range of >523 K (250 deg C).
Executive summary:

The boiling point/boiling range of TAB-2 was determined by the capillary method to be >523 K (>250 Deg C). The test was run in duplicate. .
