First-aid measures

Skin Contact: Wash affected skin with soap and water. Seek medical attention. Eye Contact: Flush eyes with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes.  If irritation persists, consult a physician. Ingestion:  Rinse mouth thoroughly and seek medical attention.  Do not induce vomiting.  Inhalation: Person should be moved to a fresh air environment. If breathing is difficult, seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguish fires with CO2, dry chemical, or water fog or foam.  A MSHA/NIOSH approved self contained breathing apparatus should be worn. Use water spray to cool fire-exposed containers.

Accidental release measures

Contain the spill and transfer material to separate containers for recovery or disposal.  Wash floor area with hot water solution.  Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.  Wash affected skin areas with soap and water.   Keep spills out of all sewers and bodies of water.

Handling and storage

Containers should be kept tightly closed and stored in a dry, well-ventilated place.  Do not handle or store near an open flame, heat or other sources of ignition.

Exposure controls / personal protection

During formulation of the substance into a personal care preparation, avoid exposure by wearing protective gloves and safety glasses as appropriate.

Stability and reactivity

The substance is not considered a reactive chemical. It is thermally stable and not sensitive to shock.
