Any other information on results incl. tables
Exposing the test substance for 300 seconds to thermal stress did not result in an explosion. None of the test tubes showed a deformation. Therefore it was concluded that the test substance is not explosive when exposed to thermal stress.
Exposing the test substance to mechanical stress by shock did not result in any visual changes in the test substance consistency. No traces of a vigorous reaction were observed. From this it was concluded that the test substance does not react under mechanical stress by shock, therefore the test substance is not seen as explosive.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Interpretation of results:
- non explosive
- Remarks:
- Migrated information
- Conclusions:
- Stepan TAB-2 was found not to be explosive under the study conditions.
- Executive summary:
Stepan TAB-2 was tested for explosive properties according to EEC-Directive 84/449 EEC, Annex V, Part A, Methods for the determination of physico-chemical properties, A.14 "Explosive properties," EEC Publication no. L251, September 1984. The test substance showed no explosive properties under the test conditions, and is therefore considered to be non-explosive..
