Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
AES is auto-flammable under the conditions of the test.
Executive summary:

Applying a linear increase in temperature of about 0.5 °C/min, AES showed an exothermic reaction starting at about 240 °C. A maximum temperature of 414 °C was measured in the sample cube during the exothermic reaction. At the end of the measurement, the test item was swelled and colored black. AES shows a relative self-ignition temperature at about 334 °C.
