Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

A 24h TDp screening test showed only partial dissolution of the test item. As such, a potential contribution of non-dissolved and/or non-dissociated Palladium (II) acetate to the ecotoxic potential of this substance can not be excluded, and a grouping with and read-across from other soluble inorganic palladium substances is not performed. Instead, substance specific ecotoxicological information is generated and the environmental classification is assessed based on the lowest acute and chronic values from substance specific ecotoxicity test data.

The lowest acute value is an EC50 of 2.64 µg palladium (II) acetate/L for algae tox (growth rate). The lowest chronic value is an EC10 of 1.32 µg palladium (II) acetate/L for algae tox (growth rate).

These threshold values are used for classification purposes. The corresponding environmental classification is:

Acute Category 1 (M-factor 100)

Chronic Category 1 (M-factor 10).
