Regression analysis demonstrated that the slope of the regression line of the log Pow of the four successive samples was not significantly different from zero. Therefore equilibrium was considered to be achieved. The mass balance ranges between 93 and 111%.

Conclusions:
The substance has low potential to bioaccumulate in the environment, according to CLP classification criteria for aquatic chronic toxicity (log Kow <4).
Executive summary:

The partition coefficient of the test substance was measured under GLP according to the OECD 123 guideline, slow stirring method.

The partition coefficient (n-octanol/water) (log Pow) of test substance was determined at test temperature of 25 ± 1 °C and at a pH value of 5.8 from three independent replicates (test vessels) with four sub-replicates (samples).

Quantification was performed using validated GC-MS analytical method.

Partition coefficient (log Pow) of test substance was determined to be 3.660 ± 0.003.

Description of key information

The substance has low potential for bioaccumulation, according to CLP classification criteria for aquatic chronic toxicity (log Kow <4).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
3.66
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

A fully reliable experimental study, conducted according to a recognized OECD method and under GLP, is available. Therefore, it is considered as a key study, and the result is retained as key value for purpose of CSA.

The data is relevant for classification in aquatic chronic toxicity hazard class, according to CLP criteria.
