EC number: 203-104-6 | CAS number: 103-36-6
The test material is a clear colourless to pale yellow liquid with a melting range of 6-8°C and boiling point of 271.6°C at atmospheric pressure. The relative density of the test item is 1.048 at 20°C, relative to water at 4°C. The test item was found to have a vapour pressure of 0.06 hPa at 20°C; 0.09 hPa at 25°C;0.43 hPa at 50°C, a water solubility of 171 g/L at 20°C and a log Kow of 3.01 at 23.6°C.
The flashpoint at atmospheric pressure is 132.5°C and auto-ignition is observed at a temperature of 430°C.
The test substance does not contain functional groups which are associated with explosive or oxidising properties. Moreover, based on the chemical structure surface activity is not expected.
The substance does not need to be classified for physical hazards.
