96 hr LC50: >1000 mg/L for fish

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A key study was conducted to determine the short term toxicity of FAT 46014 to fish. The test was performed according to OECD test guideline 203 using rainbow trout as test species. The 96 hr LC50 of FAT 46014 in this fish acute toxicity test was determined to be >1000 mg/L.

The detailed results were as followed:

LC0 (48 h): >1000 mg/L

LC0 (96 h): >1000 mg/L

LC50 (48 h): >1000 mg/L

LC50 (96 h): >1000 mg/L

LC100 (48 h): >1000 mg/L

LC100 (96 h): >1000 mg/L

Further, several studies performed to determine the short term toxicity of FAT 46014 to fish, according to internal SOP Method A-11.

The following threshold limits (TL) were observed in the studies conducted.

TL0 (48 h): >1000 mg/l

TL50 (48 h): >1000 mg/l

TL100 (48 h): >1000 mg/l

The threshold limit values for FAT 46014 shows that the test item does not cause acute toxicity to fish.

Considering the above results of key study and supporting study it can be concluded that FAT 46014 is non-toxic to fish.
