First-aid measures

Contact with eyes: Rinse with plenty of water

Contact with the skin: Wash with soap and plenty of water

Inhalation: Take the person in the fresh air. Do not ingest any substance. Ask for medical advice.

Ingestion: Flush oral cavity and drink water. Do not ingest any substance. Ask for medical advice. Do not provoke vomit.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing means: Dry powder, water mist, Carbon dioxide

Unsuitable extinguishing means: Water jet

Specific hazard during extinguishing: Irritating/toxic vapours and pungent smoke. In Oxygen shortage, Carbon monoxide can develop.

Protective equipment during extinguishing: Respirator, standard protective equipment

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Use glasses. Remove ignition sources; do not smoke.

Precautions for the environment protection: Avoid dispersing the product in sewers, drains and surface water

Methods for cleaning up: Use sand or earth to avoid dispersion, than take it up mechanically. Store in a closed container.

Handling and storage

Precautions for a risk free handling: Use safety goggles and rubber gloves. Do not use contact lenses. For prolonged contact, use mask.

Precautions for the storage areas and the containers: Store in a fresh and ventilated environment. Avoid high temperatures and strong oxidising agents, keep the containers well closed.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Technical measures: Exhaustion

INDIVIDUAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT:

Breath protection: None

Hands protection: Neoprene gloves

Eyes protection: Goggles

Skin and body protection: Working clothes. Use antistatic working shoes.

Hygiene measures: While working do not eat, drink or smoke; before break wash hands. Change contaminated cloths. Clean the whole body after working.

Stability and reactivity

Thermal decomposition: Pungent smoke, toxic vapours. In Oxygen shortage, CO can develop.

Dangerous reactions: Can form polymers if catalytic agents are present

Dangerous decomposition products: Pungent smoke, toxic vapours. In Oxygen shortage, CO can develop.

Materials to avoid : Strong oxidants

Conditions to avoid: High temperature and heat sources

Disposal considerations

Product: Collect mechanically. Dispose in compliance with local regulations

Contaminated packaging: Have to be treated like chemical wastes, in compliance with local and state regulations.
