Additional information

Acute aquatic toxicity tests with the substance in different freshwater species from three trophic levels are available.

There was no acute toxicity in freshwater fish (Fathead minnow, 96-hours static, LC50 = 934 mg/L), in freshwater invertebrates (Daphnia magna, 48-hours static, EC50 = 700 mg/L) and in freshwater green algae (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, 72-hours static, ErC50 = 43.1 mg/L). The long-term toxicity of the substance of the most sensitive aquatic freshwater organisms algae shows a 72h-ErC10 = 13.5 mg/L and a 96h(72h) NOEC = 3.2 mg/L. Data for the toxicity to marine organisms are not available (for waiving arguments refer to CSR section 7.1.1.2. and 7.1.2.2.).

There was no inhibitory toxicity of the substance to activated, predominantly domestic sewage sludge. The 3h-IC50 value in an activated sludge respiration inhibition test was 321.4 mg/L (95 % confidence interval: 186.9 –657.4 mg/L) and the 3h-IC10 = 54.4 mg/L (95 % confidence interval: 29.1 - 82.2 mg/L).
