Additional information
Aluminium chloride decomposes rapidly to hydrogen chloride and/or hydrochloric acid gas and aluminium hydroxide in aqueous environments. Around neutral pH conditions the test substance is leaving low concentrations of soluble aluminium species in the body of the liquid medium, above insoluble aluminium hydroxide precipitate.
