Description of key information

Acute Toxicity of bis(2,3-epoxypropyl)cyclohexane-1,2-dicarboxylate to Daphnia magna Straus in a Static 48-hour Immobilisation Test according to OECD 202 and EPA OTS 797.1300

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Fresh water invertebrates

Fresh water invertebrates
Effect concentration:
71.6 mg/L

Additional information

The test substance was tested for its acute 48 -hour toxicity to the daphnid, Daphnia magna Straus. Thirty daphnids were exposed to nominla dose levels of 4.7, 7.8, 13, 21.6, 36, 60 and 100 mg/L. An acetone control and a daphnid dilution water control were also included. The 48h LC50 value and 95% confidence interval were calculated based on nominal exposure concentrations and were determined to be 71.6 (65.8-78.8) mg/L. The NOEC was 36 mg/L.
