Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
17.06.1991 to 21.06.1991
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Deviations:
no
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.6 (Water Solubility)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes
Remarks:
Swiss GLP
Type of method:
flask method
Specific details on test material used for the study:
Name: FAT 40406/A
Purity: 89.3 %
Water solubility:
339 g/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
7.3
Details on results:
The substance forms a viscose paste at a concentration of 1000 g/L. Therefore it is not possible to use a five fold saturation concentration for the determination of the solubility, as required by the EEC method. Consequently the solubility can be higher than this mean value.
