Description of key information

In the test on flammability in contact with water according to the UN guideline, the maximum rate of evolution of flammable gases from silicocalcium powders, granules and lumps was found to vary from less than 0.006 l/kg/h h to 0.39 l/kg/h. A flammability test according to EU guideline showed no signs of ignition.

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

The maximum evolution rate of flammable gases did not fulfill the classification criteria for "substances and mixtures which in contact with water emit flammable gases" given in the CLP regulation (maximum evolution rate ≥ 1 l/kg/h).
