First-aid measures
General information
Immediate medical attention is required. Ensure that medical personnel are aware of the material(s) involved, and take precautions to protect themselves. Keep victim warm. In case of shortness of breath, give oxygen.
Description of first aid measures
Inhalation
Move to fresh air. Oxygen or artificial respiration if needed. Do not use mouth-to-mouth method if victim inhaled the substance. Induce artificial respiration with the aid of a pocket mask equipped with a one-way valve or other proper respiratory medical device.
Skin contact
In case of contact, immediately flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical attention immediately.
Eye contact
Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention immediately.
Ingestion
If material is ingested, immediately contact a physician or poison control centre. Have victim
rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Never give anything by mouth to a victim who is unconscious or
is having convulsions. Do not induce vomiting without medical advice. If vomiting occurs naturally,
have victim lean forward to reduce risk of aspiration.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Corrosive effects. The product causes burns of eyes, skin and mucous membranes. Permanent eye damage including blindness could result.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed. Symptoms may be delayed. If evacuation of stomach contents is necessary, use method least likely to cause aspiration. This material, if aspirated into the lungs, may cause chemical pneumonitis; treat the affected person
appropriately.

Wear full protective clothing, including helmet, self-contained positive pressure or pressure
demand breathing apparatus, and face mask. Move containers from fire area if you can do it without
risk. For massive fire, use unmanned hose holders or monitor nozzles; if this is impossible,
withdraw from area and let fire burn. ALWAYS stay away from tanks engulfed in flame. Some of these
materials, if spilled, may evaporate leaving a flammable residue. In the event of fire and/or
explosion do not
breathe fumes. In the event of fire, cool tanks with water spray.

Keep unnecessary personnel away. Ventilate closed spaces before entering. Do not touch damaged
containers or spilled material unless wearing appropriate protective clothing. Remove all sources

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Eliminate all ignition sources (no smoking, flares, sparks, or flames in immediate area).
Extinguish all flames in the vicinity. Should not be released into the environment. Prevent entry
into waterways, sewers, basements or confined areas. Dike far ahead of liquid spill for later
disposal. Move the cylinder to a safe and open area if the leak is irreparable.
Large Spills: Stop the flow of material, if this is without risk. Move the cylinder to a safe and

earth to soak up the product and place into a container for later disposal.
Never return spills to original containers for re-use. Clean up in accordance with all applicable
