1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.16 (Relative Self-Ignition Temperature for Solids)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
no
Remarks:
Under Internal management system
Key result
Remarks on result:
other: No self-ignition observed

See attached illustration regarding the temperature profile of the test.

After the test, the sample was solidified after melting and completely black because of decomposition. No sharp temperature rise of the sample was observed.

Conclusions:
The substance showed no self-ignition before melting/decomposition.
Executive summary:

The self-ignition temperature of the test substance was determined according to EC Regulation No 440/2008, Guideline A.16 and in accordance with European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R.7a, Endpoint specific guidance, May 2008. The substance showed no self-ignition before melting/decomposition.
