Conclusion on classification

In the acute toxicity studies no effects were observed below the water solubility and classification for acute aquatic toxicity is not warranted.

Based on the available chronic toxicity data, the test substance also does not show toxicity under CLP criteria, but nevertheless show grounds for concern on long-term toxicity as the substance is poorly soluble in water (showing no acute aquatic toxicity) and is not rapidly biodegradable. Furthermore, no adequate long-term toxicity data is available for all three trophic levels. Based on these grounds for concern, the substance should be classified as Aquatic Chronic 4: H413 (May cause long lasting harmful effects to aquatic life) as 'safety net' in accordance with EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
