Description of key information

Data on toxicity to soil organisms of two different trophic levels are available, which allow to conclude on long-term effects: Chronic toxicity to earthworms (OECD 222) and toxicity to soil microorganisms (OECD 216).

Only in the test on chronic toxicity to earthworms adverse effects on the test organisms were observed.

The EC10 on reproduction after 56 d was determined to be 181 mg/kg soil dw based on 5% organic carbon content in soil.

The the substance is adsorptive and poorly water soluble. Uptake by plants is therefore expected to be negligible and not relevant. The available cover the most relevant exposure route for adsorptive and poorly soluble substances.
