Description of key information

In accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI, the dissociation constant study (required in section 7.16) does not need to be conducted as inspection of the chemical structure shows no functional groups which are associated with dissociation behaviour at relevant environmental conditions.
The dissociation constant of DAA was predicted to be 14.57 ± 0.29, suggesting that the substance will predominantly exist in the undissociated form throughout the environmentally relevant pH range of 5 to 9.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The dissociation constant of DAA was calculated using the ACD/I-Lab service ACD/LogP v8.02, and was reported as 14.57 ± 0.29. The substance will therefore predominantly exist in the undissociated form throughout the environmentally relevant pH range of 5 to 9. The temperature, at which the partition coefficient value was obtained, was not reported.
