Key value for chemical safety assessment

Genetic toxicity in vitro

Description of key information

Studies on gene mutations in bacterial systems (Ames, Hüls 1989 and Zeiger 1988) and mammalian cells (TK+/-,TC 2012) are available, where the test substance does not induce point mutations in presence and absence of metabolic activation. No chromosome aberrations were found in CHL cells in presence and absence of metabolic activation (TC 2012).

Endpoint Conclusion: No adverse effect observed (negative)

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (negative)

Justification for classification or non-classification

The test substance does not need to be classified for mutagenicity.
