Diallyl phthalate (DAP) is a clear, colourless liquid with a melting point of -70˚C and a boiling point of 290˚C. Vapour pressure is relatively low and DAP is moderately soluble in water (148 mg/1) with a a log Pow of 3.23.

Self-ignition temperature exceeded the boiling point of diallyl phthalate, whereas the flash point was determined at below this point (at 166˚C). Since there were no chemical groups associated with explosive or oxidising properties present in the molecule, determination of these endpoints could be waived.
