Conclusion on classification

Acute fish, Daphnia and algae studies are available for resin acids and rosin acids, fumarated, compds. with triethanolamine or the analogue substance rosin, fumarated. All EL/EC50 values from these studies are above the water solubility of <1 mg/L. As resin acids and rosin acids, fumarated, compds. with triethanolamineis is inherently biodegradable (according to CLP not rapidly biodegradable, Guidance on the Application of the CLP Criteria,Version 4.0 – November 2013 ) and has log Kow values of >5.8, a "safety net" classification of Chronic Category 4 according to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 and R53 according to Directive 67/548/EEC is considered appropriate.
