According to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Annex IX, column 2 the equilibrium partitioning method may be applied to assess the hazard to soil organisms in the absence of toxicity data for soil organisms. The substance falls into soil hazard category 1 according to the scheme given in ECHA guidance R.7c (Table R.7.11-2), as there is no indication for high adsorption capacity (log Kow > 5), high persistence (soil half-life > 180 days) or significant toxicity (aquatic LC50 or EC50 value < 1 mg/L). As the predicted environmental concentrations in the soil compartment are below the PNECscreen derived from the aquatic PNECs with the equilibrium partitioning method, no toxicity testing for soil organisms is required.
