Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Adsorption/desorption study waived. The Koc value is estimated with a QSAR proposed by Gerstl (1990). The log Koc = 2.16 indicates that the substance has high mobility in soil and sediment according to the classification scheme of McCall et al. (1981).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:
146.2

Additional information

The study of adsorption/desorption does not need to be conducted as the substance and its relevant degradation products decompose rapidly. The Koc value is estimated with a QSAR proposed by Gerstl (1990) using the equation log Koc = 0.679 * log Kow + 0.094. The computation gives a log Koc of 2.165. The estimated Koc value is 146.2 L/kg. This indicates a high mobility in soil and sediments according to the classification scheme of McCall et al. (1981).
