Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

readily biodegradable

Additional information

Three studies are available for this endpoint.

Only one was considered as reliable (with restriction). The others can be used as supporting studies.

The key study was performed on BASF product Deriphat 160C (Sodium Lauro-iminodipropionate). The reliability of this study was evaluated at 2 (reliable with restrictions). Sodium Lauriminodipropionate met the pass level for ready biodegradability, and can be regarded as readily biodegradable.

Two other studies have been conducted on Rhodia product Sodium Lauro-iminodipropionate. The reliability of these studies was evaluated at 4 (not assignable) and were reported as supporting studies for this endpoint. According to these results, Lauro-iminodipropionate can be regarded as readily biodegradable as well. This supports the result obtained by BASF on the Lauro-iminodipropionate.

As lauroiminodipropionate and cocoiminodipropionate have similar structures (only the alkyl chain distribution is slightly different), this result can be used for cocoiminodipropionate.
