Conclusions:
The water solubility determination of test chemical was done as per the shake flask method. The solubility was determined to be greater than 10000 mg/l at 28 degree C.
Executive summary:

The water solubility determination of test chemical was done as per the shake flask method. The solubility was determined to be greater than 10000 mg/l at 28 degree C.This value suggest that the chemical is very soluble in water.

Description of key information

The water solubility determination of test chemical was done as per the shake flask method. The solubility was determined to be greater than 10000 mg/l at 28 degree C.

The principle of the method being ‘weight of the chemical substance (solute) to dissolve in water to form a homogeneous solution of the solute in the solvent’ was referred to determine the water solubility of the substance. The water solubility of 4-methoxybenzyl alcohol was found to be 20000 mg/L at room temperature of 27 degC.This value suggest that the chemical is very soluble in water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
10 000 mg/L
at the temperature of:
28 °C

Additional information

The water solubility determination of test chemical was done as per the shake flask method. The solubility was determined to be greater than 10000 mg/l at 28 degree C.This value suggest that the chemical is very soluble in water.

From other experimental study report, it is observed that the test chemical is vary soluble in water as its solubility in water was determined ti be 20000 mg/L at 27 degree C, which supports the key value.
