Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Skin sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (not sensitising)
Additional information:

The test item was assessed for its possible contact allergenic potential in a local lymph node assay performed according to OECD TG 429.

The animals did not show any clinical signs during the course of the study and no cases of mortality were observed.

In this study Stimulation Indices (S.I.) of 1.3, 1.8 and 1.1 were determined with the test item at concentrations of 5, 10 and 20% (w/v) in propylene glycol, respectively.

Migrated from Short description of key information:
Tested in the local lymh node assay the test item was not a skin sensitiser.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance was not a skin sensitiser in a study according to OECD TG 429, therefore classification for skin sensitisation is not required according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
