Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Available data on aquatic toxicity of the submission substance are acute toxicity on fish, algae and microorganisms. No toxicity was found in any of these tests at saturation concentration of the test item or 1000 mg/L (activated sludge respiration inhibition test). Therefore, the test item may be regarded as nontoxic to aquatic organisms.

In the fish toxicity test, a higher test concentration (57.05 mg/L) of the poorly soluble test item was achieved by an emulsifiying agent (TWEEN 80) at a nominal test concentration of 100 mg/L:

LC50 (96h, Brachydanio rerio) > 100 mg/L (nominal) or > 57.05 mg/L (measured concentration).

In the toxicity test on algae (Desmodesmus subspicatus), no vehicle had been used and the geometric mean measured concentration of the saturated solution during the test was 4.1 mg/L at a nominal concentration nof 20 mg/L.

NOEC (72h) = 4.1 mg/L (=20 mg/L nominal concentration);

LOEC/EC10/EC50 (72h, groth rate and yield) > 4.1 mg/L (>20 mg/L nominal concentration).

In an activated sludge respiration inhibition test on microorganism toxicity, the submission substance proved to be innooxious to activated sludge microorgansims.

EC50 (3 hours,respiration inhibition) >1000 mg/L (nominal concentration)

EC20 (3 hours,respiration inhibition) >1000 mg/L (nominal concentration)
