Description of key information

The ready biodegradability of bis(dibutyldithiocarbamato-S,S')copper (CDBC) was evaluated in a study performed in accordance with OECD testing guideline 301 F and GLP requirements. According to the results, bis(dibutyldithiocarbamato-S,S')copper is not considered readily biodegradable. A higher-tier test was conducted on CDBC following OECD TG 308 aerobic. The test substance was incubated for 103 days in two water/sediment systems. Parent substance and relevant degradation products were followed. All DT50 were below 120 days at 12°C in both systems. Thus, CDBC and its relevant degradation products are not considered persistent in the environment.
