Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation : Remove patient from exposure and move to fresh air. Obtain medical attention if ill effects occur.
Skin Contact : Wash skin with plenty of soap and water.
Eye Contact : Irrigate immediately with clean water, holding the eyelids apart, for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention if irritation persists.
Ingestion : Rinse mouth with water and give plenty of water to drink;Do not induce vomiting anunconscious person.Get medical attention (No specific antidote is known). To be treated symptomatically and depending on the victim`s clinical conditions.
Fire-fighting measures
Combustible : Decomposition products on heating or due to fire may produce carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide and phenolic and styrene fumes.
Extinguishing Media : Water Spray, foam, dry chemical powder or CO2.
Fire Fighting : Wear full protective clothing and self- contained breathing apparatus . No special recommendations.
Protective Equipment : Protective clothing should be worn in fire conditions including self contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Do not allow to enter drains, sewers or watercourses. Use appropriate containment to avoid environmental contamination. Transfer to a container for disposal or recovery.
Collect spillages in dry covered containers for subsequent disposal as per the local regulations. Ensure suitable personal protective protection during removal of spillages. Flush the spilled area with water and collect wash-water for disposal.
Wear suitable personal protective equipments such as gloves, goggles, face-shields, masks and protective clothing’s.
Spillages or uncontrolled discharges into watercourses must be alerted to the appropriate regulatory body.
Handling and storage
Handling : Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear safety glasses and hand gloves; Take measures against static electric charges.
Storage : Keep away from oxidising agents, acids, heat and direct sunlight. Provide adequate ventilation and local exhaust.
Storage Temperature: Ambient ( below 30˚C is preferable if possible )
Storage Life : 1-2 year under normal conditions of storage.
