Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
adverse effect observed (sensitising)
Additional information:

(S)-1-(3-Methoxyphenyl)ethylamine was tested for its sensitizing effect on the skin of the guinea pig in the Maximization Test based on the method of Magnusson and Kligman. The study was performed using one control group and one test group. Based on the results it was concluded, that (S)-1-(3-Methoxyphenyl)ethylamine showed a strong sensitizing potential. [BASF, 2008]

Migrated from Short description of key information:
The results of this study show that (S)-1-(3-Methoxyphenyl)ethylamine had a sensitizing effect on the skin of the guinea pig in the Maximization Test (OECD 406) under the test conditions.
