The results of the dynamic viscosity measurements are explained as a function of the shear rate. The mobile SC4-21 was chosen.

Conclusions:
The mean dynamic viscosity of the test item at 20.0 ± 0.2 °C was 2.07 mPa.s.
The mean dynamic viscosity of the test item at 40.0 ± 0.2 °C was 1.41 mPa.s.
Executive summary:

In this study (2012), the determination of the dynamic viscosity of the reaction mass of potassium trifluoromethanesulphinate (TFSK) and potassium trifluoroacetate (TFAK) in aqueous solution (approximately 36%) was performed according to the guideline OECD 114.

The mean dynamic viscosity of the test item at 20.0 ±0.2°C was 2.07 mPa.s.

The mean dynamic viscosity of the test item at 40.0 ±0.2°C was1.41 mPa.s.

Taking into account the results obtained at 20.0 and 40.0 °C, the test item in aqueous solution (approximately 36%) was considered to have newtonian properties in the experimental conditions used.

Description of key information

The result of the chemical reaction of the manufacturing process is a solution of approximately 36% of two constituents in water. An experimental study performed on this aqueous solution gave a viscosity of 2.07 mPa.s at 20°C.
