Studies of the effects on terrestrial organisms need not be conducted if direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely.

It is proposed that testing is waived as the substance, although having a high Kow of 8.2 and a high ability to adsorb to soil, it can be regarded as readily biodegradable indicating that it will not remain in the environment. However, the available data for terrestrial organisms (earthworm and plants) demonstrate lack of toxicity even at the highest concentrations tested.
