Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Under the conditions of the present study with Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, no reduction of growth rate or inhibition of yield was recorded at any of the concentrations of 1574 CETONA tested.
The EC50 for growth rate reduction (72h-ERC50) and the EC50 for yield inhibition (72h-EYC50) was beyond the range tested, i.e. exceeded a TWA concentration of 0.16 mg/l being the highest soluble concentration in medium.
The 72h-NOEC for both growth rate reduction and yield inhibition was 0.16 mg/l.
Due to the very low solubility of 1574 CETONA in water, concentration levels that might be toxic for algae could not be reached.

The EC50 for yield inhibition (EyC50:0-72h) was 9.8 mg/l with a 95% confidence interval ranging from 5.7 to 17 mg/l.

The NOEC for growth rate reduction was 3.2 mg/l. The NOEC for yield inhibition was 1.0 mg/l.
