Additional information

Data on all three trophic levels are available. Test on acute toxicity to fish, daphnids and algae have been conducted according OECD and GLP. Due to the low solubility of the test item all test have been conducted using saturated solutions. The test with fish and daphnids were conducted as limit test with a loading rate of 100 mg/L. For the test with algae loading rates have been prepared for every concentration (differential loading). All tests gave the same results: No effects occurred up to the limit of solubility. Therefore, the test item is with high probability not acutely harmful to aquatic organisms.

Additionally, a test on the toxicity to microorganisms have been conducted. After 3 h of incubation no inhibition of the oxygen consumption of the activated sludge could be observed. Therefore, EC10, EC20 and EC50 were determined to be above 1000 mg/L and the inhibition of the degradation activity of activated sludge is not anticipated when introduced to biological treatment plants in appropriate low concentrations..
