Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The influence of 2-(sec-butylamino)ethanol to Daphnia magna in a semi-static reproduction test has been investigated through OECD Guideline 211 and according to GLP requirements (Kuhl, 2011). The mortality of adults and the number of young Daphnia were determined after 21 days of exposure to several concentrations (3.2, 1.0, 0.32, 0.1 and 0.032 mg test item/L). In the freshly prepared test media 108 % of the nominal test concentrations were found (all concentrations above the NOEC). In the aged test media 96 % of the nominal values were determined (all concentrations above the NOEC). Under the test conditions the test item was sufficiently stable during the test medium renewal periods of 48 and 72 hours. Therefore, all reported results are related to nominal concentrations of the test item. The 21‑day NOEC was determined to be 0.32 mg test item/L for the reproduction and 0.32 mg test item/Lfor the survival of the adult test animals, respectively. The EC50 for the reproduction was 0.904 mg test item/L. All the validity criteria were fulfilled.
