Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Decomposition from 360°C, OECD 102, EU Method A.1, Calmels 1995a

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The melting point of the test material was determined in accordance with the standardised guidelines OECD 102 and EU Method A.1 using both the Kofler hot bar method and the capillary method. Both tests were performed in triplicate. Under the conditions of the study, no melting point of the test material was observed up to 360°C. The test material was found to decompose from approximately 360°C when it became blackish in appearance.

The study was performed in line with GLP and accepted standardised guidelines with a high level of reporting. The study was assigned a reliability score of 1 according to the criteria of Klimisch (1997) and considered suitable for assessment as an accurate reflection of the test material.

The available data are considered to be complete and the result determined, decomposition at approximately 360 °C, was carried forward for risk assessment.
