Additional information

Visual evaluations were made on the physical state and colour of the test material in two studies. The test material was described as a purple (magenta) powder in the study reported by Calmels and as a garnet powder in the study reported by de Jouffrey, when observed at ambient conditions.

Both studies were performed in line with good scientific principles. Both reports were GLP compliant and reported to a high standard. As such both studies were assigned a reliability score of 2 according to the criteria of Klimisch (1997) and considered suitable for assessment as an accurate description of the test material.

The available data are considered to be complete and the description, magenta powder when observed at ambient conditions, was carried forward for risk assessment.
