Results and Discussions

The saturation concentration of MEXORYL SBU at 22.5 °C was estimated by a simplified flask method in the preliminary test to be higher than 10mg/L. Therefore, the flask shaking test was performed.

After a shaking time of 25.0 hours, 48.5 hours and 72.5 hours, respectively, at 30.0 °C, the samples were equilibrated for another 24.75 hours at 20.0 °C. Afterwards, the samples were centrifuged, filtered, diluted and analyzed by HPLC. The water solubility of MEXORYL SBU at 20.0 °C was determined to be 13.5 g/L. The measured results differ by less than 15%. Therefore, the study is considered to be valid.

The r² fit of the calibration curve was 1.0000 (optimum). This reflects the linearity of the HPLC system within the calibration range of 1.188 µg/mL to 95.04 µg/mL of the test item.

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): slightly soluble (0.1-100 mg/L)During this study the water solubility of MEXORYL SBU was determined and found to be 13.5 g/L at 20.0 °C and a pH of 4.0 using the flask shaking method.
Executive summary:
