First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove affected person to fresh air.

Get medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: If the product enters the eyes wash them immediately with
eye wash solution and/or water for up to 15 minutes.

Obtain medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing.

Wash skin immediately with water using soap if available.

If symptoms persist, obtain medical attention.

Launder clothing before re-use.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Get medical attention immediately. Give half pint of water
to drink as soon as possible.

DO NOT induce vomiting.

DO NOT give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, carbon dioxide, dry chemical powder, alcohol or
polymer foam.

Product arising from burning: Toxic fumes containing nitrogen compounds and oxides of
carbon.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Safety goggles and rubber gloves should be worn.

Also a breathing apparatus or other protective equipment to
ensure respiratory protection should be used.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate the area of non-essential personnel. If a dust
cloud is formed eliminate all naked flames.

Remove or turn-off all sources of ignition or sparks.

DO NOT SMOKE.


Sweep up spilled material, avoid raising dust, and transfer
to containers for subsequent disposal.


Seal containers and label them.


DO NOT flush spilled material into public water system.
Notify local authorities at once if contamination of this
type occurs or is possible.


Ventilate the area and wash the spill site after material
pick up is complete.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid eye or skin contact. Eye wash facilities should be
readily available. Proper chemical handling procedures
should be followed.

Avoid breathing dust. Use suitable respiratory protective
equipment if there is discomfort or smell.

Wear safety spectacles, chemical goggles or face shield as
appropriate. Wear impermeable chemical resistant gloves and
suitable protective clothing (i.e. ovealls, boots).


Use of good personal hygiene practices and adopt the PPE as
follows:

Respiration & eyes: Full mask (EC136) with P3 filter (EN143)

Hands: Normal length chemical-resistant gloves (EN374/EN388)
worn over disposable gloves.

Additional: Disposable dust-proof suit (EN465, type 4) worn
over long underwear. Disposable boot cover.

Storage: Do not store at temperatures above 8°C.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 50 kg fibreboard drums with polyethylene liners.
