Based on the oxygen balance values
and the known experience in the handling and use of the substance, it is
deemed not to be potentially oxidising.
According to the definition set out in the
CLP Regulation (EC 1272/2008) oxidising solid means a solid substance or
mixture which, while in itself is not necessarily combustible, may,
generally by yielding oxygen, cause, or contribute to, the combustion of
other material. A specific study has not been conducted on the substance
but based on oxygen balance values the substance is incapable of
reacting exothermically with combustible materials, therefore no
classification as oxidising is warranted.
