Additional information

Data from Similar Substance 01 were considered for the evaluation of the potential of the substance to cause toxic effects to aquatic algae. Justification for Read Across is given in Section 13.

The toxicity potential of the substance to green algae was evaluated after 2 hours of exposure to different concentrations of the substance (ranging from 40 -1800 mg/l). Fluorescence parameters were measured on 2 ml algal suspension after 1 and 2 h of exposure. The ΕC50 (2h) was determined to be 1098.1 ± 13.7 mg/l.

The EC50 at 96 hours was predicted by ECOSAR v.1.1 to be 50313.043 mg/l which supports that the substance is not expected to be toxic to aquatic algae.
