Description of key information

Adsorption / desorption

KOCWIN model (v2.00) of Estimation Programs Interface (EPI Suite, 2017) was used to predict the soil adsorption coefficient i.e Koc value of test chemical 2 -[[4 -[[4 -[[6 -anilino-1 -hydroxy-3 -sulpho-2 -naphthyl]azo]-1 -naphthyl]azo]-6 -sulpho-1 -naphthyl]azo]benzene-1,4 -disulphonic acid, magnesium sodium salt (CAS No. 93941 -74 -3). The soil adsorption coefficient i.e Koc value of 2-[[4-[[4-[[6-anilino-1-hydroxy-3-sulpho-2-naphthyl]azo]-1-naphthyl]azo]-6-sulpho-1-naphthyl]azo]benzene-1,4-disulphonic acid, magnesium sodium salt was estimated to be 3330000000 L/kg (log Koc=9.522) by means of MCI method (at 25 deg C). This Koc value indicates that the substance  2 -[[4 -[[4 -[[6 -anilino-1 -hydroxy-3 -sulpho-2 -naphthyl]azo]-1 -naphthyl]azo]-6 - sulpho-1 -naphthyl]azo]benzene-1,4 -disulphonic acid, magnesium sodium salt has a very strong sorption to soil and sediment and therefore have negligible migration potential to ground water.
