Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
pH = 12.4 (saturated solution at 21°C)
Alkalinity = 13.6 %w/w NaOH (at 25°C)
This data can be relevant for classification regarding corrosive properties.
Executive summary:

The pH of a saturated solution (10 g/L) of the test substance in deionised water was measured according to CIPAC MT75.3 guideline, using a pH-meter and a glass electrode, under GLP. As the result was above 10, the free alkalinity was also determined, according to CIPAC MT191 guideline, on a dilute solution (3.7 g/L).
