Description of key information

The surface tension of FAT 41'030/A in water (90 % of saturation concentration) was determined to be 71.6 mN/m at 20.4 °C ± 0.1 °C. A similar surface tension is conluded for the target substance FAT 41045.

Additional information

The surface tension of FAT 41030, a structural analogue of FAT 41045, was determined according to OECD 115 and EEC Directive 92169, Part A, A.5 using a ring tensiometer. The study was conducted in compliance with GLP. Both substances are very similar in their chemical structure and, as demonstrated, in a number of physicochemical properties. Therefore, the use of this study for read-across is considered to be appropriate, thus avoiding a duplicate tests.
