PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

In a ready biodegradation study (OECD301F) 64% degradation was achieved after 28 days, hence the substance and underlying constituents are not considered to be persistent.

Since a significant fraction of Patchouli Oil has partition coefficients > 5.7, the substance is considered to have constituents that meet the screening bioaccumulation criterion (logKow > 4.5).

There is no evidence to indicate the substance is toxic with regards to aquatic organisms (E(L)C50> 1.0mg/L in fish, Daphnia and algae) or to human health (CMR, repeat dose toxicity or STOT-RE/ SE).
