Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The Henry´s law constant H is estimated as 240 Pa*m³/mol at ambient temperature, related to the vapour pressure and water solubility of wash oil.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Henry's law constant (H) (in Pa m³/mol):
240
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The value H relates to the properties of the wash oil (Vp and water solubility), but using the molecular weight of the marker substance, acenaphthene: i.e. calculated from the MW of 154.2 g/mol, the water solubility (WSF) of 25 mg C/L [= 0.16 mol/m3] (20°C) and the vapour pressure of 38.5 Pa:

H = VP x MW / WSF [Pa*m3/mol]

Note: The Henry's law constant of acenaphthene is about 3.7 Pa*m3/mol (at 25 °C) (EU 2008).
