Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One study investigating the toxicity of dimethylammonium 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetate (CAS No. 2008-39-1) to earthworms was available (Kaczynska, 2004). This test was conducted according to OECD Guideline No. 207, Earthworm, Acute Toxicity Test (1984), under GLP conditions. After 14 days of exposure in artificial soil, no effects on earthworm survival were reported and therefore the LC50 value was determined to be greater than 1000 mg test substance/kg soil dw (corresponding to 512.4 mg a.i./kg soil dw).Additional information could be gathered from a report by Adema and Roza (1989), following the same procedure as in the available study (OECD Guideline 207). The resulting LC50 after 14 days of exposure was 350 mg a.i./kg soil dw.
